Started watching this series:
This has mech, fantasy, reborn from another world themes mixed in which hits what I'm into right now. Mind you it's not the deepest story line but a fun little watch. I think I'll need to read the light novels now since the anime tends to skip a lot of story and the flow does feel accelerated.
"Knight's & Magic is set in a world where medieval knights use giant robots called Silhouette Knights to fight against demon beasts, ravenous animals that devour everything on sight. The protagonist is Tsubasa Kurata, a mecha otaku from Japan who gets killed in a car accident. Tsubasa is reincarnated in this new parallel world as Ernesti Echevarria, a boy born into a noble family. Tsubasa's previous otaku memories inspire Ernesti into creating his own Silhouette Knight in order to defend his kingdom."

Yeah, I watched the first two episodes and it is remarkably meh. The CG is not good. The setting is not well established. The main protag is OP. Unnecessary shota-kon vibes from the two supporting female characters. Lame senpai, cool senpai, and senpai with lots of flesh showing for no apparent reason. I thought the magic as a program might be an interesting angle but so far our reborn programmer appears to be able to write new programs with ridiculous ease that seems to break the laws of magic.
+Albert Nakano on point. The programing part looked interesting. I ended up reading the light novels since it fleshed out the story better
