A growing trend I'm seeing myself either watching or reading has been these overly power protagonists (SAO / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei / Overlord / The New Gate) and how they are dealing with their environment or themselves.
Some I see inner voices completely opposite from their actions, others trying to find that spark of challenge, or trying not to cause a commotion while just going with the flow.
It's not a bad thing personally since a lot of shounen prior has been a weaker protagonist then powering up to crazy levels to beat a person. So having the polar opposite is an interesting view.
I'm cautiously optimistic on this, but temper my expectation to make sure I won't be disappointed much.
It is certainly hard to gauge its entirety after the first EP. So far so good.
