A lot of underlight photography that I liked were for jewelry or something translucent to accent the piece being photographed. I had to Google underlighting for more info and camera techniques. One that struck me as interesting was the focus on the background and the object that accentuates it.
So I tried an overhead shot of Gift's Saber to avoid some of the dark emotions but still utilize the dramatic tone. Also Saber's translucent dress armor seems to work well with this.

The top down approach is pretty neat. definitely makes the background look like it has something to do with the figure itself.
