I felt the need to post something otherwise I get lost in other projects. This is a partial salvage of the digital background challenge. I lost a ton of work (I'm totally at fault) by overwriting with the wrong progress file.
So rather than redo, I went ahead and started with what's left and went for a more grungy overall look since I haven't done them. Personally it feels lacking an element and I can't seem to place what I'm missing. I'm also partially in uncharted territory testing things out to please bear with me >.<
Really cool. I think you may need some shadows at his feet to improve the depth. Doesn't quite seem to match up with the torso and sword shadows.
There are shadows underneath but I think the higher contrast killed them compared to the ground
Maybe too much ambient light thrown all over the place to give a good focus on the central action as well as lightening the mood a little too much. The light on the upper corners can feel particularly distracting.
I like the ground fog? Dust settling? at his feet though.I wish he looked a little more ready for the attack but such is a static figure's problem :P.
+wara zashi could a combination between them all that I lacked in this photo
Wow ! "ROAR !"
