Figure Friday Challenge – Skin Tone 2

Generally the anime figures have more or less the same light skin tones. I tried to use the mechs skin tone since they tend to be more colorful and diverse.

I'm not completely happy with this but ultimately ran out of time. This was the 4th revision which hopefully gives more focus on the mech's skin color palette. You'll notice the varying shades of yellow, greens, white, and purples between the three of them.

MS Girl Wing Gundam Zero Edition

A good friend gave me a 1/12 Zeta Gundam Girl (armored lady) when I mentioned many moons ago that I wish a figure girl mascot in a Gundam suit existed. This was part of the groom's gift to his groomsmen.

Never knew they made that line of figures. It still sits quietly in a box due to lack of time for paint, assembly and sheer laziness. ^^;

If you're interested in what Zeta Armored Lady looks like, there's a youtube video (not my video) http://goo.gl/iZFgwx

So for this Figure Friday, I'll be using MS Girl Wing Zero version with other figures. This one is already painted and easier to assemble

Been stuck on that since I went through a few unhappy bouts with the shots and pose with her and the other figures. Needed a break from it.

Perceived photography skills vs actual skills

Been reading Arstechnica article regarding iPhone 6 vs a DSLR on image. (Article Link below)

However prior to comparing the two types of camera. The article goes on skill level. I feel like I hit that low point (perceived skill level) in the attached chart. I can certainly relate to the following excerpt:

" The point labeled "Dunning-Kruger peak" is that surge of self-confidence one gets when one acquires some small amount of skill in a thing and, emboldened by that skill, decides that they are awesome at that thing. However, repeated use of the skill typically disabuses one of that illusion…"
