This Kafkaesque seems like a good internal struggle. This is similar to Vampire Hunter D or Blade with their internal struggles. Here's hoping the story develops well.

The character designs and story from the first ep seem to go over a lot of backstory.

But what got me through it was Ren… I want that robo-dog !!!!

So far SAO – GGO has most of my attention this summer with the GGO storyline following the light novel.
