Drone ballet in front of Mt. Fuji

A fun drone ballet performed in front of Mount Fuji in Japan. The drones and LED synchronized well with the music. An impressive undertaking by Sky Magic (https://vimeo.com/163266757)

Sky Magic writes:

This was done so by utilizing more than 20 units of these flying machines, flight swarming formations, music, and 16,500 LED lights to combine into a single audio visual extravaganza. Furthermore, we are able to control the flying machines, visual and audio aspects concurrently, using the DMX512 [light controller]

Web novel – Mushoku Tensei

Been a fun little read for those who like a bit of fantasy adventure from another world. I've been engrossed in reading this and nearing the end (vol 23 out of 24). Anime references, regrets, do overs, from a middle aged hikkineet in a fantasy world is nothing new but a fun distraction nonetheless.

This has eaten into figure photography for the time being until I finish this.

Photography lighting cheat sheet 4

Digital Camera World has a little cheat sheet of studio lighting setups where to place the light source and the resulting photo.

Given figure photography is a much smaller scale, there is no big need to have an umbrella or studio type lighting. Just having this sheet as a reference on where to place the light might help give some ideas on lighting your own figures.

InFocus – Kangaroo Plus mini PC 1

The portable pc on a stick is still a niche area but Intel's offering is a bit bare still. InFocus seems to be trying to fill that gap with increased ram and storage for a general pc. $169.00 USD isn't bad but not sure what niche it fills other than possible office environments to replace standard desktop PCs.

Kangaroo Plus pocket PC one-ups Compute Stick with twice the RAM, storage
It’s a decent deal at $170, though it doesn’t include an operating system.
